Same pig, same bad billUPDATE: The text of the amendment has been released. New package, same old FOCA!

Our efforts are having a great impact. Realizing that the people of Illinois are rejecting Illinois FOCA, the anti-life proponents of HB 2354 are circulating have filed an amendment to the bill.

The Catholic Conference of Illinois has also issued new talking points for the new amendment.

Now, more than ever, we must redouble our efforts!

    I cannot believe that the amendment doesn’t even change the malpractice immunity language. Supporters shot themselves in the foot with that one. It’s a no-brainer that women who are injured by incompetent abortionists should be able to obtain justice in court–just like any other victims of medical malpractice. The lack of change here just emphasizes that this bill is about helping a corrupt abortion industry, not the women of Illinois.
